Thank god the regular season is over. I ended up batting .650 for the regular reason. That’s not half bad. That’s better than Mike Golic, Louis Reddick, Trey Wingo, and a bunch of other names you only have if you’re a sports journalist. Playoffs. Let’s get it.

Ryan’s NFL Picks (2019): Wildcard Round
Seattle Seahawks @ Philadelphia Eagles: Seattle Seahawks
How crazy is it that Sunday morning, the Seattle Seahawks had a shot at the first seed in the NFC, and now they have to travel to play the 9-7 Philadelphia Eagles. I really don’t think the Eagles deserve to make the playoffs. I’m not one of those people that thinks the playoff format should be restructured, but I do hope they’re bumped from the playoffs pretty quickly.
Something crazy? This is Carson Wentz‘s first playoff game. He was drafted in 2016, the Eagles have played in five playoff games over that span, and Wentz has yet to take a single snap.
Minnesota Vikings @ New Orleans Saints: New Orleans Saints (LOCK OF THE WEEK)
This is the rematch of the Minneapolis Miracle, and I have a hard time believing the Saints drop the ball here. They’re arguably the best team in the NFC, losing out on a bye because of a three-way tiebreaker, and I bet they crush Kirk Cousins, who hasn’t proven he can win a game that matters.
If Dalvin Cook can’t go, then the Vikings truly don’t have any hope at all. They’re going to need to play their best football to escape from New Orleans with a win, and I just don’t see it happening.
Buffalo Bills @ Houston Texans: Houston Texans
I like the Bills, I really do, but I don’t trust Josh Allen. The only playoff team the Bills beat this year was Tennessee, and at the time, Marcus Mariota was still the starting quarterback. I think this team has a bright future, but J.J. Watt‘s return, plus an explosive, rested Deshaun Watson and DeAndre Hopkins will prove to be too much to handle.
Tennessee Titans @ New England Patriots: Tennessee Titans
I know this is a wild, wild take, but I fully believe it. A couple of years ago, the Titans went up to New England in the playoffs, and they got BEAT DOWN. But that Patriots team was a lot better than this one, and this Titans team is red hot. This is a Patriots team that couldn’t beat Ryan Fitzpatrick‘s dreadful Miami Dolphins in New England.
Last week, a quarterback named Ryan, coached by one of Belichick’s disciples came into Patriot Place and came away with a win. This week, I think the same thing happens, and for the first time since 2010, the Patriots miss the AFC Championship. Also, the two AFC South teams knock out the AFC East teams.
